Ready?
In Europe, alarm bells are ringing…
The governments of Germany, Ireland, the U.K., Lithuania, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Poland, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Latvia, and France have all advised people to have emergency supplies for a period of at least 72 hours in place…
In Sweden, the official preparedness brochure, cheerily titled, “In Case Of Crisis Or War”, dropped through the door of more than 5 million households. The 32-page pamphlet—twice as long as previous versions—carries a heavy emphasis on military conflict preparedness…
The German’s version of this doomsday document is “Planning Ahead For Crises And Disasters”. It talks of “…extreme weather events… cyberattacks, disinformation, and sabotage…” and states, “Even the idea of war, which seemed to be out of the question just a few years ago, no longer feels quite so far-fetched…” as it tells residents they should stock up on emergency supplies to last for at least 10 days.
In the U.K., the government’s “Be Ready” campaign—which encourages citizens to stock up on supplies to last 72 hours—has led to a surge in sales of everything from baked beans to wind-up radios, torches, and power banks.
And it’s not just happening in Europe. Mexico, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Canada, and beyond have issued similar warnings.
Meanwhile in the U.S., the Pentagon wants every major military base to run for 90 days without outside help should a war cut off power and supply chains.
So far, so what..? After all, the U.S. government has been telling its citizens to prepare for emergencies for decades from Cold War warnings to terrorism threats, tornadoes, blackouts, fallouts, anthrax, and more… you could argue this is nothing new and you’d be right…

Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be ready, too.
Chances are, something’s coming.
I don’t say this to scaremonger. Fear isn’t my beat. Rather, I know having a back-up plan in place is the best way to eliminate the fear factor. Because you can’t control governments that want to go to war… or cyberattacks… freak weather events… or if someone wants to drop a dodgy vial or eat a bad batch of bat way out wherever and start a global pandemic… What you can do is figure out what you’re going to do and where you’re going to do it if things really do hit the fan.
Later this month, at my Money Event, I’ll be gathering together my team of more than 30 experts to help you do just that. We’ll be talking second passports, back-up residency, holding assets offshore, Plan B portfolios and Go Bags, plus a whole lot more besides.
